This beautiful opal displays a broad vibrant green rolling flash over most of the stone with warm golds and reds shining throughout this stunning opal gem.
Mined from Coober Pedy, cut and set in our workshop, this stunning opal gem has been wrapped in 925 sterling silver with a silver bail.

Opal is a natural stone with a hardness of 5.5 - 6.5 on the mohs scale, making it a similar hardness to glass. Composed of hydrated silica, their significant water content is part of what makes them delicate stones.
Opal is generally stable, and although it can be affected by heat from intense light which can cause fracture lines called “crazing.” we take every care to use only stones that are less susceptible to damage, any stone that has weakness is not used in our jewellery.
Although these stones are treated to keep them safe we suggest you take every care when wearing opal so as not to scratch or fracture the stone.
