Andamooka hard matrix opal stud earrings.
These andamooka opal earrings display flashes of green pinfire in a hard matrix that sparkles in natural light, bringing a touch of class to any outfit. With a contemporary design, this pair of  stud earrings would look amazing for any occasion.
Wrapped in 925 sterling silver, both andamooka opal gems were expertly cut in our workshop from the same mother stone.

Opal is a natural stone with a hardness of 5.5 - 6.5 on the mohs scale, making it a similar hardness to glass. Composed of hydrated silica, their significant water content is part of what makes them delicate stones.
Opal is generally stable, and although it can be affected by heat from intense light which can cause fracture lines called “crazing.” we take every care to use only stones that are less susceptible to damage, any stone that has weakness is not used in our jewellery.
Although these stones are treated to keep them safe we suggest you take every care when wearing opal so as not to scratch or fracture the stone.
