A wonderful hand crafted sterling silver ring made with Indonesian fossilised tree opal.
This very rare and unique piece has large and small pieces of opal with bright colour throughout, surrounded by the host tree it was formed in.
Treated in Indonesia from source and carefully crafted into a wonderful bright ring.

Opal is a natural stone with a hardness of 5.5 - 6.5 on the mohs scale, making it a similar hardness to glass. Composed of hydrated silica, their significant water content is part of what makes them delicate stones.
Opal is generally stable, and although it can be affected by heat from intense light which can cause fracture lines called “crazing.” we take every care to use only stones that are less susceptible to damage, any stone that has weakness is not used in our jewellery.
Although these stones are treated to keep them safe we suggest you take every care when wearing opal so as not to scratch or fracture the stone.
